Catwalk for Cure

Did you know that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and that I was a huge supporter of the Breasts!
On October 7, 2005 I attended Catwalk For a Cure a fashion show and luncheon benefiting The Sutter Medical Center of Santa Rosa’s Breast Care Center. It took place at the Luther Burbank Center For The Arts in Santa Rosa, the Wine Country. 100% of the proceeds raised from this event will be donated to the Breast Care Center.
There were lots of people from Santa Rosa’s business and professional community, and the who’s who of Sonoma County were there too. It was great to see everybody come together and contribute to such a worthy cause. The wine was free flowing and there were booths and tables set up to display jewelry, clothing, and other goodies for sale.
Most of the women were dressed in fancy attire with large hats. The amateur fashion show was the best part. It was a little wired to be in the audience instead of on stage for a change. But it was a total blast! There was even a huge auction to finish off the event, but it was way above my pocket book.
